When I was learning the femme choreography to demonstrate, Alison’s first note to me personally was to not “do it like a performance”. It’s not about being all “WOW” for the person in the chair, but rather connecting to them and listening to their cues, which turns out requires you to drop the “performance mask” and show up vulnerable as hell 🥹💕 On the flip, sitting in the chair while my partner danced for me was ALSO a very revealing experience and a huge lesson in learning to receive 🙌🏼 I learned so much from this class, and I know you will too!
